#Hamas, Islamic Jihad: Israel raid on Palestinian detainees at Ofer reflects regime’s terrorist nature.

In a joint statement, Hamas and Islamic Jihad resistance movements blasted as criminal the raid undertaken by Israeli special units into a section of Ofer Prison, situated west of Ramallah, in occupied West Bank. According to them, this raid was an expression of the very nature of the terrorist regime ruling Tel Aviv.
“Such attacks on the part of Israel against our prisoners form part of a scheme to recover the stature lost by the Zionist entity due to its brutality,” said Hamas.
It also called for “exposing Israeli inhumane acts and crimes against Palestinian prisoners.”
Islamic Jihad later denounced “the brutal attack carried out by the Nazi-occupying regime this Sunday against Palestinian prisoners in Ofer Prison. This brutal attack serves as a clear image of the brutal nature of the regime.”
The harassment and assaults on the inmates reflected the barbaric and ruthless nature of the regime. It laid bare the awful moral decay and crisis in which the Zionist entity finds itself,” it stated.
While the resistance marks this experience in the record of their brave history, it draws attention to the fact that the Israeli regime had to agree on the deal for exchange of captives for prisoners only to salvage its lost pride withstanding the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian nation.
The Hamas-run Prisoners’ Media Office reiterated that “when Israeli forces conducted a raid at Ofer Prison, prisoners were beaten and sprayed with gas,” then added that no information about possible injuries had been reported until then.Over in the meantime, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs said there are 13 female Palestinian prisoners who are experiencing increasingly harsh conditions at the hands of the Israeli jailers in Damon Prison.

Human rights organizations claim that Israel continues to violate all rights and freedom for the prisoners under the Fourth Geneva Convention and international law.

According to the Palestine Detainees Studies Center, some 60% of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails suffer from chronic diseases, and some have died either inside or after release due to the severity of their cases.

Palestinian detainees have unceasingly resorted to a hunger strike in their attempt to show discontent on account of their being illegally held in prisons.
