The battle against climate change requires collective goals. One has to take actions on their own, with their community, or as a whole society in the form policies. Following are the steps, or recommendations as to what can be done:
Personal Level Mitigation Strategies and Solutions: Purchase energy-efficient devices. Utilize LED lights. Switch off electronics illuminating and fancy lights when desired.
Opt For Renewable Sources: Utilize solar panels or subscribe green energy plans. Invest in wind, solar, or biomass energy structures.
Transform Infrastructures And Transportation: Utilize public transport systems, carpool, utilize bikes or walk if at all possible.
Invest in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. When necessary to fly, try to limit the amount of time spent in the air and use carbon offsets for exempt flights.
Waste Minimization Measures: Participate in recycling and composting efforts.Avoid the use of single plastic bags, instead try to invest in multiple use plastic bags. Instead of throwing things away, attempt to repair them and reuse them.
Changes in Diet: Increase intake of foods that are based off plants. Reduce the amount of meat eaten to only where it’s necessary, limit carbon emissions produced by consuming beef or lamb meat. Consume more seasonal foods in local areas to minimize the distance traveled.
Save Water: Identify and repair leaks and water-saving fittings.
Avoid activities that waste water such as varied shower modes or watering of plants. Community and Corporations Involvement
Encourage Change: Help local/regional/national initiatives, or policies that attempt to work towards a reduction in emission level. Join or enlist organizations that fight against climate change.
Spread Information: Give understanding regarding ecologically friendly technologies. Distribute advice and information in your neighborhood.
Help ECO BUSINESS: Purchase goods from organizations seeking to minimize their negative environmental impact. Urge organizations to incorporate renewable practices.
Reforest and Rehabilitate: Assist in tree-planting exercises. Aid groups that have the goal of recovering forests and nature. The Government and Public Policy
Assist Renewable Energy: Provide funds to set up facilities that generate energy from the sun, wind and other sources. Stop encouraging industries that rely on fossil fuels.
Implement a Charge on Carbon: Implement policies like a carbon tax and cap-and-trade that will encourage making less emissions.
Establishment of targets for the reduction of emissions: Implement measures aimed at controlling global warming, such as the Paris Agreement.
Promote building practices that are environmentally friendly:
Construct green buildings. Improve transportation networks so that there is less use of personal automobiles.
Foster Biodiversity: Create reserves for ecosystems containing a variety of biological species. Place controls on agricultural and forestry practices that are detrimental to the environment. Global Efforts
Enhance Commitments Across Borders: Be part of actions to that support agreements like Paris Agreement, COP meetings. Foster joint initiatives aimed at enhancing technology acquisition by developing countries to encourage green solutions.
Work on Equity within Climate Actions: Ensure that affected and vulnerable groups are able to withstand the consequences of climate change. Provide resources to low and middle-income countries to promote green actions.
Support Climate Scientific Studies: It is important to expand the spacing of clean energy, carbon capture, and sustainable agro innovations. The sharing of climate data and solutions must be done on a world-wide basis. In the end changing the strategies unified, climate change mitigation takes a new approach and a much greater impact than it had in the past.
