According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, at least 12 people were treated for injuries after a violent incident that saw Israeli settlers wreak havoc in two villages north of Jerusalem where a number of Palestinian homes, a nursery, and local business were set on fire.
Wafa, the Palestinian news agency, notes that dozens of Palestinians have already been arrested during military raids in the West Bank following violent attacks from Israeli settlers aided by Isreali forces. This all took place mere hours after Isreal freed 90 Palestinians as part of a ceasefire deal with Gaza.
As the ceasefire began on Sunday, more than three Palestinians were shot and killed in Rafah, southern Gaza, by Israeli forces including a young child.
The UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs noted that approximately 915 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Monday, marking day two of the ceasefire.
Since October 7, 2023, the ongoing war on Gaza by Israel has resulted in the killing of 47,035 Palestinians and led to the injury of over 111,091 Palestinians. In the Hamas-led attacks on Israel, there was an estimation of 1,139 casualties and more than 200 individuals reported missing.
