Mogadishu, January 29, 2025: The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, attended the 26th Extraordinary Summit of the Heads of the East African Association (EAC), which discussed the renewed war crisis in the East of the Republic. . At the meeting, the President emphasized the long-term approach, the President of the Republic, shared the plans of the East African Community, as the violence in Somalia is concerned about the general situation in the Congo (DRC), and called for to unconditionally fight the conflict and go back to prison for dialogue.
The president spoke about Somalia’s experience of civil conflicts and the problems that arise from it, and he wanted to protect the files and the prisoners, their packages and human rights.
First of all, the leaders of the East African Community umbrella organization that participated in this meeting agreed to hold an emergency meeting where the leaders of the EAC and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) discuss the civil conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo DRC.
