The Syrian regime has asked the Russian government to hand over the former president of Syria, Bishar Al-Assad, who was deposed last month and is still in Moscow. The man who ruled the country for 24 years is accused of genocide, hanging sentences, theft of public property and other serious crimes.
It is not known whether Russia will accept this request or whether it will be reluctant to hand over Bishar Al-Assad.
